My son, 8 years old We had the good fortune to find Lynne Alba at a critical time in my son’s development, at 2 years old, when my son began experiencing some mild problems with his speech. With two years of therapy, my son’s communication improved. During his first grade year, based on her evaluations and the difficulties he began experiencing in school, it became apparent his speech difficulties were probably an indication of a more serious learning disability. Following extensive research and consultations, we eventually found our way to his current special needs school where my son is thriving and has made huge progress in academic areas that were previously very difficult for him. Today, he is a great “communicator-in-process” and continues to see Lynne for therapy on a weekly basis. My son’s success story is due in large part to the expertise and support received from Lynne Alba and her speech therapy group. Lynne is great at motivating my son to improve his language/speech skills through her energetic, unique and imaginative therapy sessions. In addition to being a great therapist, Lynne takes a genuine interest in the well-being of my son as a total person. Lynne has always had time to discuss our concerns and generously shares her professional opinions that are based on her extensive experience and resource information. She was a crucial voice in our decisions, which led to the improvements in my son’s school and home environment. We appreciate that she has always been highly respectful and discreet regarding my son’s and our family’s privacy. I know that because we had Lynne on our team from the beginning, my son has had the benefit of having his special needs recognized and resolved early on rather than at an older age.
