Sarah Morales attended California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) for the completion of both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communicative Disorders. She is proud of her academic standing, having been in the top 1st percent of her class at CSULB (with a near 4.0 grade point average). She was also a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Sarah has over two years of clinical experience, working with both children and adults. She has had clinical rotations and experience in such areas as child language disorders, adult language disorders, motor speech disorders, voice, fluency, and articulation. Her special interest in voice is in part driven by one of Sarah's hobbies. She enjoys singing and she has had a number of years of classical voice training.

Sarah was also involved in the "Linguistic Different Clinic" at CSULB, which involved working with clients with culturally and dialectically diverse backgrounds. She also completed a clinical rotation in the public schools where she treated elementary school children with a range of etiologies and types of communication delays and disorders. She performed both individual and group therapy and was able to do collaborative teaching in a special day class.

Sarah has also had solid experience working with children with a variety of communication disorders. Two areas of emphasis have been in treating children with autism as well as with learning disabilities. She has always been interested in helping others. Sarah began tutoring students with learning problems when she was in middle school and continued tutoring through her college years. She has worked with children with a variety of learning issues including language processing, verbal language formulation and word retrieval, and reading and writing problems.

Sarah has also worked with children with autism both in school and in private practice. She has worked for Children's Speech Care Center as a Speech Assistant for three years. Her work with social skills groups as an assistant with children with autism at the Center and as a student
