Next, she interned at Lincoln Primary School in Blue Island, IL. At this school, she provided individual and group therapy for children with a variety of needs including articulation, language processing, and apraxia. Jori’s third internship was at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Nathan Hale Primary School in Crestwood, IL. She provided aural rehabilitation for children with mild to severe hearing losses and gained experience with hearing aids and cochlear implants. Her last internship was in the Rehab Unit at Ingalls Hospital in Harvey, IL. While there, she gained experience in evaluating and treating adults with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders resulting from strokes or other etiologies.

Jori was previously employed with Eisenhower Cooperative in Oak Lawn, IL. She worked in their Developmental Learning Program for children with multiple disabilities and in the CARE program for children with behavioral disorders and emotional disturbances. She has been at Lynne Alba Speech Therapy, P.C. since 2007.

Most of her experience has been with children, ages 3-14. She has worked with children with a wide variety of disorders including autism, developmental disabilities, hearing impairments, and severe multiple disabilities. She has received extensive training in her areas of interest, including augmentative and alternative communication, autism, language processing, and apraxia.

Jori is a caring and energetic therapist who enjoys making therapy interesting and fun. Her experience has given her a wide range of tools to use with patients of diverse etiologies and communication difficulties. She is well liked by her patients and their families and goes the extra mile to make therapy exciting, motivating, and personally relevant for each patient she sees.
